TXST Varsity XV bounced back after a letdown last week at A&M to beat Rice Univ. 37-8 to go 2-1 in SWC play yesterday on the road. While play was much improved, there is still plenty of room for continued growth and improvement in the Varsity side. The JV XV showed newly formed Blinn Buccaneer Rugby that the newest version of Renegade Rugby is ready for Lonestar Conf play by handing Blinn a loss 49-14 in Blinn’s first ever Cup match. TXST JV featured the future stars of TXST Rugby and showed the future is indeed a bright one. TXST will return home next week with a double-header. Varsity will host UofH next Saturday at 7pm, while the JV will host UTSA at 5pm, both matches will be at West Campus Field.
